비가 많이 오는 날이었다.It was a day when it was raining heavily.
회사에서 늦게 퇴근한 나는 우산도 없이 집으로 걸어가고 있었다.Having left the office late, I was walking home without an umbrella.
그때 작은 골목에서 이상한 것을 보았다.Then I saw something strange in a small alley. 하얀 고양이가 작은 우산을 들고 비를 피하고 있었다.A white cat was holding a small umbrella and avoiding the rain.
나는 놀라서 멈춰 섰다.I stopped in surprise. "고양이가 우산을 어떻게 들고 있지?"라고 생각했다."How is the cat holding an umbrella?" I thought. 고양이는 나를 보더니 조용히 말했다.The cat looked at me and said quietly.
"친절한 사람에게는 작은 우산도 큰 도움이 됩니다.""Even a small umbrella is a great help to kind people." 그 말을 듣고 나는 미소를 지으며 내 우산을 고양이에게 주었다.Hearing those words, I smiled and gave my umbrella to the cat.
고양이는 고개를 숙여 인사한 후, 큰 우산을 들고 사라졌다.The cat bowed its head in greeting and then disappeared holding the big umbrella. 그날 이후로 나는 비가 오면 항상 여유로운 마음으로 우산을 들고 다닌다.Since that day, whenever it rains I always carry an umbrella with a relaxed heart.
