Community guidelines

FasterLang only works if people feel safe making mistakes in public. Learning a language is brave — please treat it that way.

Be kind

• Assume good intent. Everyone here is either learning or helping someone learn.
• No harassment, hate speech, insults, threats or sexual content. No unwanted romantic or sexual advances — this is not a dating site.
• Respect “no”. If someone declines a partner request or stops replying, let it go. Use block if you need to.
• Keep personal details (phone numbers, addresses) out of public posts. Be careful sharing them in private messages too.

Correcting journals

• Correct only your native language (or one you master at C2 level).
• Fix what’s wrong, then add a short note explaining why. “More natural:” is useful; “wrong” alone is not.
• Don’t rewrite someone’s text into your style — keep their voice and meaning.
• Praise what’s good. A “this was easy to understand!” goes a long way.
• Disagree with another correction? Add your own, politely. Votes decide.

Voting and suggestions on AI content

• Vote on accuracy and usefulness, not on whether you like the topic.
• When you suggest a correction, give the corrected version and, if possible, a reason or source.
• Never vote with multiple accounts or organise vote rings. We remove the votes and may ban the accounts.

No spam

• No advertising, affiliate links, crypto, “investment” offers or repeated self-promotion in posts, forums or messages.
• Tutors: promote your services in the marketplace, not in journals, forum answers or cold messages.
• Don’t post the same thing in several places.

Marketplace rules

• Describe your service honestly: what you deliver, how long, how many sessions, and your real qualifications.
• Only offer services for languages you speak natively or professionally.
• Keep order communication on FasterLang so we can help if something goes wrong.
• Deliver on time or talk to your buyer early. Buyers: give clear requirements and fair, honest reviews.
• No exam cheating, ghost-writing of graded coursework, or anything illegal.
• Reviews must reflect a real order. Buying, swapping or pressuring for reviews is not allowed.

Reporting

Use the ⚑ Report action on any post, message, text or service. Moderators review every report. Serious or repeated violations lead to content removal and account bans. Questions: palmies@pm.me.
